Tuesday, a sunny day, a young lady came into the Muddy Water Coffee shop. She was wearing a grey sweater and tight jeans. She ordered a cup of coffee then sat in front of a desk. She looked at the coffee cup and a smile came up. This is how the story begins.

Her name is Ladyface. Like her name, she is beautiful and elegant. “I am a sex worker,” she said with a confident smile. No one would think of any connections with her and her job. “I do private sessions with men who have foot fetishes.” This is a secret, and this is the job that she needs to keep underground. “I do a lot of walking on them and foot massage stuff.” The job is unusual and strange to most people.

“I got this job about five years ago, I found it online.” When she was doing research on foot fetishes, she had gone to some parties and built her own client base. She also has some advertisements on different sites online, and she gets clients through word-of-mouth. These are the ways clients get touch with her.

“I help people definitely,” she nod while she was talking. Since she works with foot fetishists, a lot of them are not comfortable with their desires. Sometimes it was emotional to see foot fetishists face what they really want. She helped people to get more comfortable with themselves and she loves the moments when she gives people their first foot session.

“I am not having sex with them”. Doing foot sessions is different from having sex with people. She has her own rule to follow. This job is not that easy and it requires a certain skill set, it is similar to some kinds of care work, just like the being a nurse or a therapist. “You are dealing with a lot of the same issues that come up with bodily in-security.” However, there is a way that this job is different from other care work. People can see her body and that makes her vulnerable with them. She needs to protect herself.

Prostitution is not legal in most of the Unite States, but because of the special part of this job, the sex workers need to have their protection and rights. She is working to push the legalization of prostitution in the US. She thinks it will be safer if it regulated, but it will take a long time to reach it. There are so many sex workers in the US and they cannot get protection. If prostitution is decriminalized, it will prevent trafficking and be easy to control. When trouble happens, both sex worker and buyer can get protection from the law. “So prostitution is one of the things that is going to happen, like abortion, you know, you never get it quickly. So it’s going to happen.” She sipped coffee while she was thinking about this question.

Ladyface is not her real name. She has 3 identities and this is her community “facing identity.” Other than being a sex worker, she is a beautiful lady who loves her life. Because she likes sewing, she used to be the seamstress for an opera company. In her free time, she likes to read, bake and hike with her dog.

“I love sex work.  I enjoy the challenge of meeting and working with new people all the time,” she said with a smile in her face. The sun was still shiny; she walked out of the coffee shop and kept going with her lovely life.

Lian's view:
 Color: The struation is very high and show the young age of this 2 person.

Shots: From wide shot to medium shot shows this 2 person's relation and also have pi's opinion shot, tell pi's inside emotion.





Lakiya's view:
Color: The color is very vivid but because it is  a memory sense, so the color should't be that bright.

Shots: Although the different shots show a great match cut, but there also need some close up shot of the girl and Pi.

This is the movie that I really impressed about, and the title sequence is very beautiful. The music fits the story and all the shots are beautiful. However , if I were the director, I would change the red color in the title sequence to a little bit darker, because  almost all the red color persent blood and "skyfall" is a action movie, so I think the darker red maybe more make sense. Second, I think the Chinese dragon seems a little strange to me, so I may change another thing to present the story part of China.  Overall, I like this title sequence.

This is a TV show that I haven't seen it before, so I just can guess this show is a national show and the whole country can see it. Because of the same name in the different places, I assume that the show is all about one thing or one person. Finally, in the last part, the show's name just falls down from the sky and hit in the ground, I think this show may have some drama and comedy.

Game can make a better world

After watching Jane McGonigal's speech "Gaming can make a better world", it really impressed me. I think the idea of this speech is very interesting and creative, but there  maybe some points that I can not agree with. The most important thing that I do not agree is when she said "Gaming can save the problems in the real life, and gaming can make a  better word". In my opinion, although people can get a big achievement like she said "The epic win" when they are gaming, but this kind of feeling is unreal and when people come back to the real life, the problem is still there. When I was in high school, I was obsessed by a inline game called"The perfect world", because I had a lot homework and exams to do at that time, I felt so tired. However, when I was playing the game, I felt my energy all came back. Even though I made a great achievement and the highest lever in the game, in my real life,my grade was very bad. This is an example about gaming can not make a better world, all the things in the game are temporal and unreal. When people play the game over the limit, it will have the bad effect to the real life.  Overall, I think   Jane McGonigal's speech  is good and creative.

I really like the first shot of the video. The shot really shows the point of the video and it is very clear.But in my opinion, maybe when shooting the dog are running, the shot seems a little shake and out of focus. So if I were the cameraman , I would think another way to make the shot more stable. However, I think this is a very clear video.

I think this advertisement is funny,and the first wild shot really shows the location. But I think when the man is shaking the food, the cats come and hug him,the sound effect there seems a little weird.The sound effect like his cat wants to bite him. So if I were the producer, I would change another sound effect.Although, this advertisement is attractive.

This is a very touching story, I think the music is very connected to the image.However in my opinion, the main story maybe is a little confuse, we all know we need to protect the arctic for the polar bear, because the polar bear only can live in arctic,but the story shows maybe they also can live in the city.If I were the producer, I would reconsider the structure of the video.Finally, I think this is a beautiful video.
